To create a batch of Raspberry Wheat Ale, you’ll need a few essential pieces of brewing equipment. First, you’ll need a large pot or kettle to heat the wort. You’ll also need a fermenter, airlock, siphon, sanitizer, and bottles or kegs for bottling. Once you have your supplies gathered, you can start the brewing process.
The first step is to make the wort. To do this, bring 2.5 gallons of filtered water to a boil. Then, add 4 pounds of wheat malt extract and 1 pound of light dry malt extract. Stir until the extract is completely dissolved, then let it simmer for around 45 minutes. As the wort is boiling, add 2 ounces of Northern Brewer hops and 1 ounce of Cascade hops. This will give the beer its distinctive hoppy flavor.
Once the wort has boiled for 45 minutes, it’s time to add the raspberry flavor. Add 1 cup of frozen raspberries at the end of the boil and let them steep for 15 minutes.
